The Institution of Statistics reported that unemployment has been reduced in the second trimester of the year, although with a slower pace than before.
According to INSTAT, unemployment in Albania dropped to 12.4% from 12.5% that it was during the first trimester. This is the tenth trimester that unemployment drops, marking the lowest point since 2008.
Detailed data show that unemployment has dropped for all ages, but mostly for youth.
Unemployment among youth, according to INSTAT, dropped to 22.6% from 24.5% that it was during the first trimester.
The number of employed Albanians has increased with 3.3%, or 71,000 people more, referring to administrative data.
