The building of the TAP pipeline has created possibilities to build new power sources in Southern Albania.
The gas distribution master plan for our country shows that two gas turbine power plants could be built in Korca and Kucova, along the pipeline.
The idea comes in a moment when Albania is going through an energy crisis, caused by this year’s summer drought, which reduced water flow in the main hydropower plants.
The new power plants will be built through private concessions and will help inject important investments in the country.
