Tirana is the city with the greatest number of unlicensed doctors, mainly in the public health sector.

The only ones that are implementing the law and the Health Minister’s order for licensed professions are the doctors of the primary health services, 80.6% of whom have been equipped with a license.

A little better is the situation in the “Koco Glozheni” maternity, where 69% of the doctors have renewed their licenses. Then it is the Military Hospital with 59.6% of licensed doctors.

The greatest problem is at the University Hospital Center, with only 35% of the doctors licensed. According to the President of the Albanian Order of Physicians, prof. Dine Abazi, this is a direct responsibility of their leaders.

Different to the older ones, the new doctors are implementing the law. According to this law, they will earn the right to operate their activities only after giving the state exam that this year will be held for the first time in Albania.
