Tirana Mayor: “Owners must demolish illegal buildings within 2 weeks”

Illegal constructions around the Tirana Artificial Lake, an area previously administered by the Farka Commune, will be demolished, as the Tirana Municipality started the new tree-planting phase for the Orbital Forest.
“They must leave within two weeks, or the Municipality will intervene. We will continue our tree planting process under the direction of the new administrator”, Mayor Veliaj said.
Tirana’s Mayor joined volunteers this Sunday, planting 150 trees around “Liqeni i thate”, part of the Orbital Forest, a green belt that will surround the city of Tirana.
“The details of the Orbital Forest will be published within a year. Then we will start massive tree-planting campaigns, to leave something better to the next generation”, Veliaj said, inviting anyone who can contribute to give them trees to plant.
