Tirana Mayor, message before protest: Time to make a pact

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, guarantee tourist operators that everything is provisory and the capital remains safe.
Meta said that after today’s protest, Tirana will be very clean once again. “I foresee that there will be elections on June 30th. The entire story will be forgotten. People will go to the beach and life will continue normally. The city will be clean within 15 minutes”, Veliaj said.
The Mayor of Albania’s capital, who is running for a second term, declared that Albanians have once again that the family and the city where they live is more important than to the parties.
He said that this is the time for political parties to make a pact in order to not damage the image of Albania.
“We need to make a pact in a challenging time, and say good words about our country and for Tirana. We may have different opinions and party affiliations, but at the end of the day Tirana belongs to all of us and what unites us is much more important than what divides us”, Veliaj said.
