Tirana Mayor inaugurates “Musine Kokalari” Library

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, was at the inauguration ceremony for the Musine Kokalari library in Tirana, where he said that the city is winning against betting shops with such projects.
“Betting shops and bingo shops used to be everywhere, in some kind of offensive against the civil culture. We have turned this into energy for more sportive terrains, playground and activities. We have won the offensive against betting shops. Although now we have an advantage, we haven’t won the battle yet. For this we need a year full of such investments”, added the Mayor of Tirana.
He said that it is very important for these spaces to be full of readers and various activities, in order to attract more citizens.
Veliaj added that there is no better start for 2018 than completing this project and that the Municipality of Tirana will distribute these investments in every neighbourhood of Albania’s capital.
