The “Rama 2” governemnt takes oath in front of President Ilir Meta

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, and his cabinet members, took
their oath this Wednesday at the President, for the new government.

The Prime Minister and his Ministers vowed in front of President Meta that they will implement the constitution for the best interest of the people.

The President and Prime Minister shook their hands, and Meta declared that he hoped the new government completed the obligations they were facing.

“Citizens expect more efforts for our country to face the challenges ahead”, Meta declared.

As President, Meta asked for a quicker acceleration of the judiciary reform, focusing on European integration.

“The EU accession is a national aspiration. I believe that the majority and opposition will cooperate for opening the negotiations the soonest possible”, Meta said.

The President underlined that the government must respond to the threats coming from terror and organized crime. He added that the good relations with neighbors are very important as regards security.
