The businessmen detained for the Elbasan-Gjinar road construction abuses were released, while the former Road Authority Director, Dashamir Xhika, is still in prison while his trial continues.
The former Minister of Infrastructure from the SMI was also summoned to the Prosecution, for another road, the Elbasan-Tirana.
“I was questioned about my responsibilities as Director of the Transportation Ministry”, Haxhinasto said.
It may be a coincidence, but there have been words about the SMI cooperating once again with the Socialists. In fact, they joined votes in Parliament for the Police Vetting.
Whether this is a strategy or coincidence, it remains to be seen in the future, as the local elections of 2019 are getting closer, for which SMI and SP have collaborated.
