Tax Office offers free call line for citizens’ information

Information about taxes can now be taken through the call-center service, without payment.
The General Tax Directory has established a special call centre that individuals and companies can call for free on 0800 002, and they will receive real-time information about their current obligations, fines, or other tax payments.
Erion Prifti, Director of this Call Center, says that taxpayers will have to give some identification, such as their registration number and their status.
Through this service, the Tax Office hopes to cut queues and contacts of the public administration with citizens, reducing this way the chances for corruption.
