Kosovo government is preparing to sue Serbia on war crimes committed in
Kosovo. The Kosovo government will establish the Institution for War
Crime Investigations.
The Minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuçi, declared that this institution aims to investigate all events, from 1990 to 1999.
The institute will not investigate the events happened from 2000 to 2001, when 11 Albanians were killed in the northern Mitrovica and hundreds of Albanian families were evicted.
“There have been war crimes in Kosovo from 1990 to 1999, and we must shed light on those crimes. Our goal is to reflect what happened in a professional way regarding the legal, historical and military point of view”, Kuçi declared.
