The Chief of Serbian delegation for talks with Prishtina, Borko
Stefanovic, arrived in Kosovo from the border checkpoint in Merdara. He is expected to meet Kosovo officials, following the procedures of the
dialogue that started on March in Brussels, with EU mediation.
His arrival was confirmed by the Spokesperson for the Kosovo Police, Sabrie Kamberi, who specified that the Serbian official is being accompanied by the Kosovo Police.
Kosovo Prime Minister, Hashim Thaçi, declared that the visit of Stefanovic signs the beginning of a new era in the relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
“This is the beginning of the Kosovo independence acknowledgement by Serbia”, declared Thaçi after a meeting with the EU envoy, Ferdinando Gentilini.
