Specialists appealing farmers

On the verge of the sowing season, agricultural specialists give the
alarm that many farmers chose the wrong seeds, due to lack of
information.

Liri Miho, specialist at the technology sector says that this number is increasing and the damages in agriculture are considerable.

The specialists say that it has frequently occurred that the farmers sow seeds that do not adopt with the weather conditions, such as broccoli, and this has caused many damages and great losses for the farmers.

Lushnje, agricultural exports doubled 

22.000 tons of vegetables and fruits have been exported this year by Lushnje farmers. This is twice the quantity of one year ago.

According to Lushnje Agricultural Directors, the productions of the local farmers have mainly gone to Kosovo, Serbia, Macedonia and other Eastern European countries, and even in Western Europe.

The most preferred vegetables that have been exported were those that come mainly from Divjaka, Kemishtaj, Krutje, Ballagat and Terbuf.

For the first time this year, the farmers signed agreement for exporting in countries like Russia, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Switzerland and Greece.

The export increase has brought interest for the construction of greenhouses. This year, according to agriculture leaders, has started for the first time the export of fruits, which is still going on.
