The Mayor of Bulqiza, Lefter Alla, who is accused by the Democratic Party of consuming cocaine, based on a video taken from a bar, is being investigated by the newly established SPAK (Special Prosecution Against Corruption).
Alla claimed that this was a manipulated video from the Democratic Party, and he even promised to sue Ervin Salianji, a member of the DP who was part of a public accusation against the Interior Minister’s brother, that caused the alleged whistleblower to be sentenced for false testimony.
SPAK say they will summon Mayor Alla for interrogation only after verifying the technical authenticity of the video.
Alla said on social networks that he has been notified about the existence of this video one year ago, and that he always thought that the last word should be heard from the justice institutions.
If this crime is committed in cooperation, the prison sentence could be from seven to 15 years in prison.
