Socialists have stormed again in many municipal divisions, alleging election manipulations on May 8th preparation process.

Ilir Gjoni denounced in Municipal Division no.3 the existence of 5 thousand citizens who have no address codes on the list.

“On a list that contains 34 thousand voters, we have identified 5200 residents that do not have an address code. This administrative action is unjustifiable, especially on the verge of local elections. There is no possible way to identify these people”, Gjoni declared.

Eduard Shalsi and Ervin Bushati were present at the Municipal Division no 8, demanding to see any changes made to the list that was updated on March 8th. Election Code provides that no new voters are allowed to enter the list after this date, except of extraordinary cases.

According to the socialists, the access to this list has not been granted because of the manipulations that the government has done on them.

“Berisha’s government is panicking, fears a massive confrontation with the electorate that has had enough of this government”, Bushati declared.

Socialist Deputy Saimir Tahiri was present on Municipal Division no.6, in Kombinat, where he submitted an official request to access the voters’ list.

The other socialist, Arben Ahmetaj, accused the Prime Minister of using another election manipulation scheme, which, according to him, involves buying Albanian’s votes with falsified money.

“It is a fact that on the verge of Berisha’s Lulëzim Basha candidacy, a large amount of falsified money has flown in Albania, mostly 100 Dollar bills of a high falsification level. This falsified money has entered and is continuing to enter in Albania, on Sali Berisha’s account. With these falsified money, Sali and Berisha’s Lulëzim Basha are planning to defraud the Albanian voters, are trying to buy their votes and deform the local election’s result”, Ahmetaj declared.
