SMI: “Budget for agriculture is ridiculously low”

The Socialist Movement for Integration says that the government budget for agriculture is ridiculous, failing to receive the attention it deserves.

The SMI leader, Monika Kryemadhi, said that the SMI proposes to increase the Agriculture budget with 2.4% of the GDP.

In a meeting with experts, the former Minister of Agriculture, Edmond Panariti, says that the SMI proposition is simple.

“We want 250 million EUR a year for agriculture, because it contributes 2 billion EUR of the GDP.  We want an agriculture without taxes”, Panariti declared.
