The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Monika Kryemadhi, criticized the government’s Budget 2018, which, according to her, favors the rich and ruins the poor.
“This majority has no plan to reduce the gap between the rich and poor. Their plan is to enrich oligarchs. The Budget 2018 increases taxes for 90% of Albanians and reduces them for oligarchs”, the SMI leader said.
Kryemadhi added that tax on profit for businesses has been raised in the past four years, together with accumulative inflation.
“The government will triple tax on residential homes, forcing citizens to pay 48 dollars. But they will zero taxes for luxury 5 star hotels”, Kryemadhi said.
She added that SMI will present its plan for reducing poverty, to stimulate national production and help families in need.
