Besnik Mustafaj confessed on Top Channel’s afternoon show “Pasdite ne Top Channel” that the Albanian literature is facing very difficult days.

“Writers never love critics. Writers are very selfish from this point of view. He likes himself and he never feels good about critics”, Mustafaj said.
However, critics are not always right.

“The main problem of the Albanian literature is not that writers react badly after critics, but because there are no good critics”, he said.
Some of Mustafaj’s works have been translated in more than 10 languages, since 1992. He is the second most-translated writer of Albania, after Kadare.
