The new academic year starts this September 17th. On that same day, Tirana will limit the circulation of vans that supply shops with goods every morning, becoming a cause of heavy traffic in the rush hour.
Veliaj met with the Directors of Tirana’s high-schools and said that vans and other heavy vehicles will be banned from 07:00 to 09:00.
The Mayor informed directors that overpopulation of schools with students, causing them to work with double shifts, will be ended once and for all with the building of 17 new schools, the construction of which starts this year.
