Rudi Erebara won European Prize of Literature

Albanian writer Rudi Erebara won the European Prize of Literature with his latest “Epic of the morning stars”.

The EUPL is a prize which awards new talents throughout Europe, who bring to attention modern European literature.

The prize is organized by the European Commission, a consortium made of the European and International Booksellers Federation, the European Writers Council and the Federation of European Publishers.

36 states have participated, divided in three categories. The prize is awarded once in three years.

The selected countries for 2017 were Albania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Iceland, Latvia, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Serbia, Turkey and Great Britain.

The first Albanian to win this prize was Ben Blushi, with the novel: “Otello, Arapi i Vlores”.
