The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared that the process for cleaning police officers from corrupted elements will continue.

“Public security cannot be created by isolated processes and approaches. We will encourage the processes that enable joint efforts of the law-enforcing structures. The excellent experiences of some Task Forces are a great challenge for synergy. The rule of law will serve to consolidate inter-institutional and international cooperation. The constant modernization of law-enforcing structures is a priority. Financial sources and technologic capacities may be confronted only through a quick modernization. For this reason, the academy has a leading role and we will keep supporting them with curricula and technology, which should be led by professors of this academy. Cleaning the police ranks is an indispensable pre-condition. We have done all that we could. The historic process of cleaning the police from corrupted or incapable elements will continue with the State Police”, Rama said.

The Interior Minister, Fatmir Xhafaj, said that the “Force of law” operation among police ranks shows the government’s commitment in the fight against organized crime
