Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama declared that Electoral College’s today’s decision shows that justice in Albania is dead.

The Socialist leader warned that a popular action is needed to revive justice.

“Our words are useless today, because the Electoral College sealed a violent theft in broad daylight. In front of an entire nation, they made a winner out of a loser, closed their eyes and ears as under every regime without justice. Our words today are useless, because everyone knows the truth of the elections in Tirana; the citizens, the journalists, the international community, the judges and the thieves. Our words are useless, because the act of the Electoral College speaks more than every other word for the capitulation of justice, under the pressure of a government of thieves that allow themselves to do everything and never get punished”, Rama declared.

“The words of every honest Albanian today are useless, because today, every thief in our country has the right to celebrate the news that in Albania, there might be a lot of laws that condemn theft, but the judicial system can allow it whenever it likes. The words are useless today, because the Albanian justice is dead. The opposition will speak only through big popular actions for reviving justice and for saving Albania from those who are keeping it hostage”, Rama underlined.
