Rama meets Italian PM before the Brussels fundraising conference

The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, started a tour in European capitals before the fundraising conference of February 17th, which will be held in Brussels to help our country recover from the earthquake devastation.

Rama had a working breakfast with Luigi di Maio, the Italian Foreign Minister, at the Palazzo della Farnesina this morning.

The second meeting was at the Chigi Palace, with his counterpart, Italian PM Giuseppe Conte.

The focus of this meeting was the devastation caused by the November 26th earthquake and the friendly support from Italy for its recovery.

Rama thanked the Italian authorities for the great assistance offered so far, especially the Italian Civilian forces, which were on the ground right after the earthquake.

Top Channel’s journalist, Muhamed Veliu, says that this meeting, the Albanian PM underlined the significance of the fundraising conference to allow the reconstruction of damaged areas as soon as possible.
