Tirana’s Municipality Initiative, “One citizen, one tree”, continued on four important roads, like “Siri Kodra”, “Komuna e Parisit”, “Ana Komnina”, “Unaza e Vjetër”, “Zogu i Zi” and “Bërryli”.
Tirana Mayor Edi Rama inspected the newly reconstructed road, “Ana Komninva”, where he also met local residents.
“I have been a democrat supporter and now I changed my mind at 100%. You will have 5 votes from me”, a local woman said.
124 plane trees were planted along this road, while along the other roads were planted 114 lime-trees and 80 oaks. The Tirana Mayor said that their goal is to plant trees in every Tirana quarter, in order to create the necessary infrastructure for the community.
“Today, Albanians from Tirana and all provinces are suffering the results of unemployment and poverty, caused by corruption and thievery. Our only way of action is to push forward by working and answer to the community by transforming our common spaces”, Rama said.
The Tirana Municipality initiative, “One citizen, one tree”, supported by local businesses, aims to create a healthy environment, to clean the air, decrease pollution and improve the quality of citizen’s life.
