The Prosecution of Serious Crimes has asked more time for investigating the former Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri.

Italy remains the only hope for this investigation, as prosecutors have asked Italian authorities for assistance regarding additional materials on the Habilaj-Tahiri case.

The Italian Prosecution of Catania sent the entire case in October, but this was not enough for the Albanian prosecutors.

They postponed the case with three months, after sending this request to the Italian authorities.

The Prosecutor General, Arta Marku, said that she supports the Prosecution of Serious Crimes for any case against crime and corruption, expressing her support to Besim Hajdarmataj, President of the Prosecution of Serious Crimes, advising him to continue their cases without hesitation.
