Albanian President, Bamir Topi, declared that it is important to
overcome the political stalemate through institutional dialogue and by
closing the election process in a legal way.
Same was the position of the British Minister of State and Foreign Affairs, David Lidington, during a meeting with the Albanian president.
Lidington emphasized the significance of reforms for fulfilling the necessary criteria, underlining once again the Britain’ unsparing support towards Albania’s EU integration aspirations.
Present in this meeting was also UK ambassador in Tirana, Fiona McIlwahm.
