Socialist Party in the city of Fier has not been able to register its candidates for the municipalities of Patos and Roskovec, and for the communes of Zharrës, Kuman, Krujan, Strumë, Ruzhdie and Portez.
The reason was that ECLA was closed yesterday, and the deadline given by law was until 00:00.
“The building was closed before we could submit the documentation, before 00:00, even on 23:40. This shows that regulations are not being followed as the Electoral Code provides”, says Xhevit Bushi, Socialist Party leader for the city of Fier.
The socialists warned that they will take further measures. Victor Mesutaj, chairman of ECLA 19, said on a phone conversation that they waited till 00:00, according to ECC instructions, together with the socialist candidates, who did not have the necessary documentation with them.
Asked about what will happen if a coalition misses the elections, Mesutaj said that if this is going to happen, it will not happen because of him.
