Only half of businesses issue fiscal receipts

The Tax Directory said that businesses are not issuing receipts as they were expected.
“The tax-payers are not respecting their legal obligations. Many are abusing by not issuing the receipt”, said Xhavid Curri, vice Director General of the Tax Directory.
This situation will be followed by frequent inspections in the past months in units that have had lower turnover.
According to INSTAT, there are 107.000 active businesses in Albania, most of which are included in the fiscal cash register regime.
Representatives of the small business, contacted by Top Channel, say that only 50% issue receipts.
