On the World Orphans Day, President Meta reminds Albanians of Mother Theresa’s work

On the World Orphans Day, the Albanian President, Ilir Meta, issued a strong message about this category, saying that Albania is the nation of Mother Theresa.

He said that orphans must feel the closeness of the government, and published pictures from the first government-run orphanage opened in Albania on November 28^th, 1917, with the support of Rauf Fico, then Vice-Prefect of Tirana.

“We are the nation of Mother Theresa. Humanism and human solidarity are the core of our values, the President said.
