Nishani, concern on Greek border delays

The Interior Minister Bujar Nishani met the General Director of the
Greek Police, Eleftherios Oikonomou, with whom he praised the
cooperation level with the Greek counterpart and the results achieved
against crime and illegal traffic.

Nishani declared that in the meeting he expressed his concern about the delays in the border checkpoints and about the prevention of some citizens from entering the Greek territory.

On his behalf, the head of the Police declared that for avoiding the border delays that have been repeated each summer, winter or for Easter, they will establish a joint group.

Oikinomou considered as unacceptable the fact that the passports of some people were considered invalid, and he declared that they will take measures for this.

Burgaj: Cooperation in war against crime

The General Chief of State Police, Hysni Burgaj met his Greek homologue, Eleftherios Oikonomou.

Burgaj declared that they talked in the meeting about intensifying the mutual cooperation in the war against organized crime and illegal traffic.

The head of the Albanian Police also declared that there has been a maximal dedication from the Greek counterpart for increasing the service level.

Oikonomou also noted the problems in the border checkpoints, due to the movement flux, while emphasizing that they will work more for solving these problems.
