The new property tax payment system will enter into effect on April 1st.
The new tax formula is 0,05% in the capital. Those built before 1993 have a tax 30% cheaper.
The average price of a square meter in |the capital has a value of 90,000 ALL. A 100 square meter apartment will have an annual tax of 4500 ALL for buildings after 1993, and 3118 before 1993.
The second most expensive city is Durres, with 3375 and 2362 ALL for apartments respectively before and after 1993.
The come Vlora, Saranda and Shkodra, where one square meter is less than 60,000 ALL. In Korca and Gjirokastra it is less than 47,000 ALL per square meter.
