New law with higher fines for fake news

The Albanian government has amended the law for fake news in Albania. Outlets that will produce fake news will now be fined from 100.000 to 1 million ALL.
The draft includes website portals, which are invited to produce true, impartial and objective news.
These media have the obligation to offer a true and impartial view of public matters, without affecting the basic human rights.
