Residents in Kacinar, Mirdita, held a protest today after learning that their area was selected for the construction of four hydropower plants.
The waters of the local rivers will go through pipes, and the farmers risk remaining without any source.
The construction company, according to the residents, claims they have received the permit from the residents and from the government 12 years ago, but the locals say this was the first time they heard about it.
