The President of Albania, Ilir Meta, refused to decree Sander Lleshi as Interior Minister for the Rama government.
Meta’s spokesperson announced that the President is not fully convinced to trust Sander Lleshi as Interior Minister.
Although the Constitution leaves no room for the President to stop Lleshi from becoming Minister, he decided, for the first time in history, to refuse the appointment of a Minister by the Prime Minister.
