Socialist Movement for Integration leader, Ilir Meta, declared that the
entire trial against him is for political reasons and the prosecution has
performed all investigations illegally.
“The Institution of the Prosecution has no intention to find the truth, but to drag this process on. The Prosecution has been extremely out of the legal track”, Meta declared.
According to Meta, everything was made for damaging SMI in the elections, referring to the fact that the prosecution called him in court as an accused on May 6th, two days before the elections.
“The Prosecution had a lot of time to advance with the case, but just two days before the elections, they communicated me that I was taken as a defendant in court, although I had been always ready to continue the procedures even earlier. The Prosecution has delayed the process on purpose, for political reasons”, Meta declared.
