The president of Albania, Ilir Meta, commemorated the birthday of the great Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare, who celebrates his 84th anniversary.
Meta said that Kadare is not only the genius of the Albanian literature and thought, but also a symbol of our country’s western vocation, which has to make us all proud.
“The genius of Albanian letters, the symbol of our western vocation, Ismail Kadare, the world-wide creative colossus that makes us all proud, today celebrates his 84th birthday.
“On this remarkable date not only to him and his beloved family, but to the entire Albanian nation, I give him my best wishes for a long life and even more successes with his creativity”, Meta wrote.
