The Albanian Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has announced that they will respond to the remarks of the Albanian President through institutional methods.

Sources said for Top Channel that the Albanian diplomacy has prepared the names that will be given to President Meta within this Thursday.

Top Channel has learned that Athens will have only four negotiators from the Greek institutions involved are just three.

Albania has involved 10 institutions, such as the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs; the Defense Ministry, the Institution of Geography, and others.

But the President has requested to include experts from three other institutions and the Foreign Ministry will accept the request, taking the number of negotiators to 13.

The Albanian government has applied a low profile, giving more advantage to institutional communication behind closed doors, regardless of the cost to the eyes of the public opinion, for lack of transparency.

But the press release of President Meta made the Foreign Ministry respond calmly to the president since their time is running out.

Same sources said for Top Channel that President Meta as well has no intention to block the negotiations. He only wants to send a signal to Athens that he is the man behind the matter. President Meta wouldn’t take the cost of failing with the removal of the War Law or failing to find a final solution to the issue of properties of Albanian people in Greece.

The only concern of the Albanian government, sources insist, that the Albanian diplomacy admits that these matters are delicate and should not be made public.

If these details are published, Albania’s negotiating position would be weaker and it could be used for internal political gain. This is not easy for Greece neither, where the public opinion, same as in Albania, is very sensitive on these matters.
