The President of Macedonia, Gjorge Ivanov, has not decreed the law passed a few days ago by the Parliament of Macedonia, which makes Albanian second official language.

Ivanov declared for the media that he sent his arguments to the Speaker of the Macedonian Parliament.

According to the President, the law is establishing a very expensive parallelism in all state institutions, which even block them and make them non-functional.

The law for the Albanian language passed in Parliament with 69 votes in favour, without the presence of the opposition, led by VMRO-DPMNE.

The law will return for review in Parliament and will enter into effect if it takes the votes of the majority.
