Leaders of State Universities in Albanian districts ask the government to pay funds for scientific research.
The Rector of the Elbasan University, Skender topi, said that they are not asking any luxury with this request.
Bektash Mema, the Rector of the Gjirokaster University, said that regional universities are the most penalized by the government and Parliament.
Adem Bekteshi, the Rector of Shkoder, said that if the government doesn’t increase subventions for scientific research, they risk turning into university colleges without science.
The representative of the Ministry of Education said that the fund for 2018 is enough, but MP Fidel Ylli says that a special fund is needed for sport, which has not received any attention.
