“We dare, we protest, we are demanding our rights, and fear will not stop us”, this was part of the LGBTI hymn that held a protest in Tirana today.

“I am a transgender. I have my family’s support. There is a lot of prejudice, but I have chosen to ignore them. I have arrived from Vienna and I am from Kosovo”, said one of them.

A woman present at the protest said that people used to behave very badly with gay people during her time.

The Pink Embassy has asked the Albanian Parliament to make a public apology for the gay people that were sentenced during the communist regime.
