Zonal Election Commission no. 49 that is counting the Municipality 5
votes of the Albanian capital, Tirana, has decided to prevent
unauthorized persons from entering the vote counting site.
This decision was taken due to the confusion that was being created, bringing difficulties for the vote counting process.
According to Top Channel reporters from the vote counting room, 473 ballot boxes have been counted out of 485 in total, resulting the Democratic Party candidate leading with 549 votes ahead, while the Central Election Commission has published only the results of 466 ballot boxes in which the Democrat candidate Basha leads with 808 votes.
