Kosovo in crisis?

One day after the Constitutional’s Court decision that nullified Kosovo’s president election, the Assembly Presidency held a meeting with the parliamentary group leaders.

No decision has been taken yet about further actions regarding Mr. Pacolli’s case.

Few are the remaining options and Pacolli must be submitted to a new electing session. He held many meetings in the Presidency today, but all behind closed doors.

His adviser Ibrahim Gashi declared that every decision given by the Constitutional Court must be respected by Mr. Pacolli, which means that he could even resign, if asked to.

Parliamentary Group Leaders said today that opposition’s presence is extremely important during the new voting session. While Democratic League of Kosovo has not yet announced if they are going to participate, “Allied for the Future of Kosovo Party” and “Self Determination Movement” have already confirmed their boycott.

Kosovo authorities have canceled all their agendas. Foreign diplomats have given no comments, but American ambassador Christopher Dell canceled his visit to northern Mitrovica. He will meet with Pacolli and Thaçi to discuss on the current situation.
