Kosovo, DP Deputy “Vokshi” case controversy

Critics continue against the Police Inspectorate that declared guilty
the policeman Bujar Shala for his incident with the Democratic Party of
Albania deputy in the Kosovo-Albania border, when the DPA deputy
accused the policeman of insulting her, and the policeman accused the
Albanian deputy of refusing to show him the documents.

This case came back in attention after Kosovo Police director suspended the policeman Bujar Shala and his two colleagues for two months, without payment.

In the document of this decision, secured by Top-Channel, Bujar Shala is considered as an accused and is declared guilty for failing to fulfill his duties.

But the Council for Protection of Human Rights in Prishtina gives another version.

“He was punished for doing what he was paid for. There is no reason why deputies should not undergo procedures as everyone else”, declared Behgjet Shaka, leader of CPHR.

According to lawyer Tomë Gashi, this decision of the Police Director is senseless, since the Court fined Deputy Albana Vokshi with 250 Euros.

However, deputy of the Democratic Party of Albania, Albana Vokshi, might meet again in Prizren Court, because Prizren Supreme Court returned the case for review.
