Kosovo, Constitution, commission asks mandate extension

18/05/2011 02:15

The Parliamentary commission established for the Constitution amendments
will ask a mandate extension for the articles about the supervised
independence.

This change will enable the country’s constitution to be the highest legal act of the country, surpassing the Ahtisari pact.

“This is the reason why we are asking to reopen dialogue with international institutions in Kosovo, for making the Constitution of Kosovo the highest legal act of the country, leaving routine competences to the Ahtisari pact”, said Arsim Bajrami, head of the parliamentary commission for constitutional amendment.
