KFOR: Situation remains concerning

KFOR command announced that the situation in Northern Kosovo, at the
border checkpoints 1 and 31 continues to be tense, although last night
was calm.

The command led by Erhard Buhler announces through a press release that the rules for the status of these two border checkpoints have not changed.

They continue to be considered restricted military areas, and border crossing is not allowed for big trucks and vehicles.

Small vehicles, as the communication specifies, will be allowed to cross the border but only after being searched by the soldiers, and the drivers will be at their own risk.

“Searches at gate 31, in Bernjak, are more thorough for security reasons”, says the KFOR press release.
