The Albanian Minister of Interior, Fatmir Xhafaj, held a meeting today ambassadors from EU member countries to Tirana.
After the meeting, Xhafaj wrote on Twitter: “Second meeting after three months with all ambassadors from EU countries. I informed them and answered to their special interest about the progress done by us as regards the implementation of the EU accession priorities, and other measures for consolidating the rule of law”, Xhafaj writes.
“We presented concrete results in several areas, especially the fight against organized crime, cannabis, border management, police reform, vetting, etc”, the Interior Minister adds.
“We expressed our gratitude for the cooperation done during these months. It was a very constructive cooperation. We are encouraged and thrilled about the positive appreciation and the trust expressed to the Interior Ministry, State Police, Special Task Force and also for deepening cooperation. We are on the right track. Determined to progress”, Fatmir Xhafaj concludes.
