INSTAT: 3.4 % economic growth

The Institute of Statistics notified that the Albanian economy had a
3.4% growth in the first trimester of the year, led by the industry and
the revival of the construction sector, which grew respectively with
12.4% and 4.8%.
Another growth has been in the transportation sector, with 13.3%, but due to its low weight in the economy, the added value of this sector remains low.
Other sectors, such as agriculture, grew with 2.8%, while commerce with 4.4%. There have been declines in the sector of post-telecommunication, which shrank with 5.1%, while other services with 0.6%.
Although the 3.4% growth is higher than the one of the last year, it still remains one of the lowest since 2005.
