The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, commemorated the Lushnje Congress on its 100th anniversary.
Haradinaj said that the Lushnje Congress marked the decisive step for the building of the Albanian state.
He underlined that the example of the men who gathered on that day in Lushnje should be followed by lawmakers even today.
“The Lushnje Congress marked the decisive step for building Albania.
“The government that came out of the national gathering was able to stop the further fragmentation of Albania.
“The model of the men who gathered in Lushnja should be followed by every lawmaker even today.
“The Lushnje Congress is rightfully considered the most important event for Albanians, after the declaration of independence”, Haradinaj wrote.
