The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, explained that the measures that are being taken against Serbian goods are a consequence to the fact that Prishtina’s voice has not been heard enough in the EU.

“The 100% tax on Serbian goods is not arrogance”, Haradinaj said for the Financial Times. “We simply didn’t have any other choice.”

“We have complained for years at the European Commission about Belgrade’s failure to respect CEFTA and the Brussels Agreement”, he added.

The Prime Minister appealed Brussels to take Kosovo’s aspirations for joining the EU seriously. Haradinaj also commented on the border changing idea, describing it as a very dangerous plan for the entire region.
