The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said that the army is being formed as a means of peace. “Serbia’s propaganda that it will be used against Serbs”, he added, “is not founded.”
Kosovo will defend its right to protect itself. Our army is modern, multi-ethnic and it has grown together with our NATO and KFOR partners. It will keep defending these values”, he wrote on Facebook.
Kosovo celebrated the creation of its army yesterday. Toda, on his first day as Commander of the new army, President Thaci paid homage in Prekaz, where he said that the testament of the martyrs is being realized.
