The Court of Hague sentenced today the Commander of the former Serbian-Bosnian Army, Ratko Mladic, to life in prison.

Mladic became one of the most wanted persons in the world before he was brought to justice.

The Serbian war commander was found guilty of war crimes, genocide and other crimes against humanity, but especially for his role in the Srebrenica massacre, which was the main charge.

Before issuing the verdict, the Court was forced to remove Mladic from the room, who protested through his lawyer and demanded the decision to be postponed for health reasons.

The butcher of Balkan faced justice this Wednesday for the biggest massacre in Europe since the Second World War.

Mladic was arrested in 2011, after more than 15 years on the run.

Despite the atrocious cruelties, the Serbian general is still seen with admiration by many Serbs.
